So, when you visit the cold grey barracks of the Wall, or the iconic grandeur of the Throne room, you feel like you are on the sets of the TV series. Each banner, sigil, uniform and natural vegetation remains loyal to the novels. Each location is finely designed with utmost attention to the details. The player gets to visit familiar locations such as King’s Landing and the Wall, as well as unfamiliar locations such as Ironrath. Although, the look and feel of the game gets better with better specs. Which means that you don’t really need a hi-end machine to play the game. Telltale’s signature paintbrush design makes characters like Jon Snow (above) look alive on screen. Even George Martin will find a wicked satisfaction in the gruesome violence of the game. It is the Game Of Thrones after all and Telltale doesn’t hold back when it comes to blood and gore. Although it sounds easy to press the right key at the right time and evade a horrible death, the suddenness of these sequences keeps you on the edge of your controller, as you never know when a knight will jump on you and before long you may find yourself at the wrong end of his longsword. The dialogues are broken by taut and riveting quicktime events. This assures a great continuity and the player feels he truly is pulling the strings around. The game remembers your decisions through out an episode and they are automatically carried over to the next episode, if you are using the same Save Game file.
So, you will be responsible for their allegiance or their treachery. Characters in the game remembers each move of yours. Your decisions, or your dialogues, decide how your game progresses. The gameplay is mostly based on decision making and simple puzzle solving. You better duck fast unless you want a beheading. An excellent voice cast, which includes the original actors from the TV series, makes the dialogue sequences memorable.

This gives a fresh new outlook to the series, as you get the opportunity to choose how the game progresses. You play the game from five different viewpoints, each of characters intricately associated with the novel’s leading characters.
The seat of House Forrester is Ironrath, an imposing stronghold in the forest surrounded by ironwood trees. The Forresters are a family of the minor nobility from the Wolfswood in the North, bannermen to House Glover – who are in themselves major vassals sworn to House Stark of Winterfell. Telltale’s storyline revolves around the House Forrester. You don’t get to play as the leading characters like Tyrion Lannister, Jon Snow or Daenerys Targaryen. GOT-the game does not follow the novel’s storyline.
